Application for the post of Volunteer Program
I have graduated bachelor’ degree in Social Work at Zanzibar University in 2016. I have five (5) years experiences of working with both local and international organization. I have extensive experience working with diverse populations of children, youth, adolescents both in school and community program
I am currently working as Program Social Worker at SOS Children’s Villages, ensures assessment of all children under our care, develop individual development plans/care plans, and put in place immediate, medium and long-term strategies for raising and supporting. Supports the youth through their various transition processes or/and the reintegration processes. Makes time to interact with children and youth on a regular basis, to get to know and understand them as individuals and maintains proper documentation of case management information system in line with SOS Children’s Villages and National Case Management Standards.
I have worked as Project Officer Human Right Advocacy, promote gender mainstreaming and inclusiveness within the project. Identify local challenges and risks that may affect the project and propose mitigation options. Ensure a harmonious relationship between the project, the communities, the government, and other stakeholders. Activities arrangement, (survey and evaluation) work plan, budget and report writing.
Also, I have worked as Child Protection and Child Right Governance Program Assistant, planed, organized coordinate and monitor child protection outreach activities at community level. Organized positive discipline and positive parenting intensive training in school, madrassa and community. Supported establishment of Tuseme clubs in school that empower children to stand for their rights.
I am excellent in communication skills both written and oral, as well as interpersonal skills. I have standard computing skill and knowledge in most of the industry standard computer software, including the Microsoft Office Suite. I have excellent multi-tasking skill and I can organize work on an independent level. I have excellent teambuilding, interpersonal skills, and ability to fit and blend into a team atmosphere quickly and seamlessly. I also have excellent problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
