I am kind and committed Senior Carer applying for the role of health care assistant in your organization. I actively participated in the healthcare team, assisting registered/qualified nurses by volunteering my professional services to care for a specific caseload of patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings in a secure setting. Experienced in providing both clinical ( checking temperature with thermometer, checking blood glucose level in patients, checking high blood pressure, etc.) and non clinical roles ( going on shopping, parks and assisting with giving medications, light domestic duties and more)
Caregiving for elderly people, especially those with disabilities and dementia, is one of my areas of competence. Since I am informed about dementia, senior care, and how to provide for people who are suffering from dementia. I think this offer is right for me. I constantly strive to improve patient care. I have the privilege of looking after persons who have dementia and other limitations. Through constant professional development, I am able to effectively communicate with them while ensuring their safety and wellness. With my good communication skill, I engage with my clients when performing my personal care duty making sure their daily needs are met along side providing quality service. I have been awarded 2 times in my organization as a best carer of the year based on my good Carer-patients relationship when discharging my duties. Most like 75%of my patients are happy when anytime I come around because of the positive impact in their lives and for that I’m proud of myself because I’m giving back to the community.
Also I am well organized, enthusiastic, compassionate, courageous, confident, passionate, flexible and loyal in nature. I am trustworthy and responsible, reliable when assigned duty and complete my assignment with little or no supervision. I have a Diploma in a ( health and Social Care /Nursing Level 5) completed 15 standard Care Courses and more and obtained my certifications. I have a Valid driver’s license and all the documents are ready for your review. Having reading a person specification for this role, I am qualified, knowledgeable and possess the needed care skills. I am ready to learn more and adapt to the organization policies.
