A highly efficient Registered Nurse with a total of 3 years’ experience in various medical and mental health settings. My career started in Kampala where I worked as nurse intern at Butabika, Kirudu Hospital and Mulago National Referral Hospitals for one year.
Relocating to Mbarara I started working in a long-term care for patients as Nursing Officer for 2 years up to date. Strong ability to communicate effectively utilizing sound judgement, self-motivated, willingness to learn, team oriented, eagerness while remaining a strong calm and patient advocate. From 11/01/2021 to April 2021, worked as a Mental health facilitator at You Belong organization at Butabika National Referral Hospital where we track recovered clients suite for discharge back in to their communities, linking up of our clients with the community, instill hope and we use a wide range of psycho therapies to promote their mental health wellbeing. Later on, my short-term contract of 3 months expired though it was extended for one more month.

From 16/12/2018 to 13/06/2020, at Butabika National Referral Mental Hospital; I was able to utilize my entire clinical placement profitably and was able to work at different wards and departments to better my skills during my course of training. I worked at Mulago and Kirudu hospitals of which was trained in management of different medical conditions and emergencies as a Theatre Nurse. I worked in the ART clinic of Mulago National Referral hospital of which was able to acquire skills in counseling, at Occupational Department of Butabika was able to apply different models of psycho therapies to clients to better their lives with positivity, hope and restoration. Recovery Department at Butabika Hospiatal, we were able to carry out community outreaches, home visiting and resettlement around the central region of Uganda. I volunteered to work in mental health clinic of Mabarara Regional Referral Hospital where I dispensed medication, participated in reviewing and discharging clients.
