For the past 13 years, I have worked for a school, where my responsibilities included teaching digital skills to students and being responsible for the welfare of boarding students.
Since my childhood, I have had a passion for helping those in need in society, and this passion will not fade; it drives my determination in everything I do and influences my life decisions. I have always wished to support organizations that care for the needy in society. During my efforts, I came across several orphanages and a nursing home. This was very special to me, where we, as colleagues, friends, and with the students, regularly organized shopping trips and extracurricular activities such as cleaning, entertaining, and socializing with the children. I have gained experiences with these children; we organize fairs, plan outings with the children, and sometimes take walks with the elderly.
I have always had the desire to go to Germany, a desire instilled in me by my older brother, who also had a fondness for Germany but unfortunately passed away. Therefore, I would really like to go to Germany to build capacities and create intellectual value, where I want to develop further and learn more ways to strengthen my drive, desire, and motivation to engage alongside the less fortunate in society. But why Germany? Germany is renowned worldwide for its high standards in healthcare and social services, and the German social security system and advanced care concepts would provide me with the opportunity to learn valuable and modern practices that I would like to apply in Kenya.
This has been the driving force for me, and so I decided to learn German at a school and even applied for the Federal Volunteer Service (BFD). As it stands today, I am vehement and very confident that my dream will come true, as my wish is to travel and work in Germany for some time, to learn and better engage with the language and culture, with the ultimate goal of improving my German and teaching the same back home.
