APPLICATION FOR POST OF VOLUNTEERING

I wish to apply for the Volunteering Post. as This will accord me a chance to enrich my knowledge, contribute to the development of humanity, strengthen values of human rights, and likewise make input in transformation of the people in need and the world at large.

I have a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. I am a member of Change Makers Leadership Programme of Salzburg Global Seminar Project on Learning from the Past: Promoting Pluralism and Countering Extremism. I am also a creative person with so much love for art and entertainment. I am a performing musician and a songwriter, and I am excited to state that I have some songs to my credit. I have also worked in various capacities in retail businesses as an Administrative Officer at the American University of Nigeria AUN for 5 years now and also worked as an Operations Manager for 3years and 7 months now.

My country Nigeria is a developing nation struggling with a myriad of socio-economic and political challenges and crimes. The country is currently the poverty capital of the world with about 87million people living in extreme poverty. The crime rate is alarming with attendant widespread insecurity raging from banditry to kidnapping to outright terror attacks. The 32.7% unemployment rate is so high that many young and intelligent people are unable to pursue their dreams and many resort to cybercrimes and forms of fraud. The political system is rife with politicians who are only in office to enrich themselves with no intention of fulfilling their promises. The Nigerian system has decimated numerous lives and truncated many ambitions. These challenges are the major motivation for my interest in Volunteering

As a youth who longs for visible and enduring changes, I have a lot of goals and plans. Some of these involve engaging fellow youths, through improvement programs to better their well-being, providing means to help them rise above their current challenges and status. Grooming of young leaders will also be a major thrust as there is the need to tap into the potential of the teeming young population around the world,

The prospect of getting the chance to be equipped with the knowledge and skill on how best to achieve my goals through the Volunterring Program is inviting. I also look forward to learning from the experiences of other forward-thinking youths from around the world. Also, the opportunity to VOLUNTEER in Germany; an industrialized nation with an impressive system of human rights protection and an enviable social-economic framework, is exciting.

Ultimately, my desire to help catalyze a new generation of citizens who will help to sanitize the Political crimes and consequently ensure a bright future for the world at large and teeming young population. I aim to contribute my best through research, project development, and diligent study, working with the best around the world, to address the challenges facing the world.
