Dear Sir/Madam,
I hereby wish to submit my application to volunteer for your esteemed establishment under the BFD program in Germany and particularly want to perform duties as a nurse or in the area of geriatric care. With a background in Journalism and Mass Communication, along with an unshakable passion for change in the social scene, I am quite eager to apply my skills and dedication in service to the public interest in a meaningful way.
In early 2023, I attended a short course in Media Campaign for Social Change and Advocacy hosted in the Netherlands by RNTC. Since then, I felt more called to leave a positive impact on society. This experience, combined with my commitment to healthcare and continuous community service, has further instilled in me the need to seek opportunities where I could render care and support to individuals in need, as I learn more and more from the team new skills that shall help me when I come back to my country to impact my community, more so to the elderly.
As much as I have a media and communication background, I believe that a few of the skills I possess such as effective communication, empathy, and working under pressure, among others, are cross-cutting and also crucial in a caregiving role. I was mostly drawn to what the BFD program stands for and the opportunity it gave me to learn and give back to society at the same time.
I believe that my vast experience and desire to help people make me a very strong candidate for this job. I am excited to bring to your team my commitment, hard work, and great desire to learn and to impact the lives of people with whom I will be privileged to interact with.
Thank you so much for taking the time to consider my application. I look forward to such a discourse and how I stand to contribute to your organization through the BFD.
Yours sincerely,
Nicholus Otieno
