I am excited to apply for the voluntary service opportunity in the field of nursing and elderly care in Germany. While I am new to this specific field, I am deeply motivated to contribute to the well-being of elderly individuals and to learn more about the profession through hands-on experience.

Having studied the language for four years, I completed my high school education with a B in German, which I equate to a B1 proficiency level. This has equipped me with the necessary language skills to communicate effectively in a German-speaking environment.

In addition to my academic background, I have gained valuable experience volunteering with the Aboro Community Youth Group, which is actively involved in impactful initiatives such as clean-up campaigns, visits to children’s homes, youth motivation programs, peer education, and providing sanitary towels. Through these efforts, I’ve been able to work closely with local communities, addressing issues like youth idleness, while also providing essential resources like food and clothing to families affected by fire tragedies. These experiences have helped me develop strong interpersonal and organizational skills, which I believe will be beneficial in a nursing or elderly care setting.

I have also volunteered with Rangi Yetu, where I worked as a program officer, training over 300 youths and women in business and digital literacy in underserved communities such as Dagoreti North, Kibra, Embakasi, and Kilimani in Kenya. I have also been involved in the Glo’s Pad Bank initiative to address period poverty, organizing sanitary towel distribution, and advocating for menstrual education. My experience with Maji ya Glo, where I participated in the distribution of water to underserved communities, further strengthened my commitment to social responsibility.
