I am writing to express my interest in participating in the Bundesfreiwilligendienst (BFD) program in Germany. As a Ugandan national with a strong background in human rights, community development, and youth engagement, I am eager to contribute meaningfully to social initiatives in Germany while expanding my intercultural and professional experience.

My professional journey as a human rights lawyer has been centered around serving marginalized communities, promoting justice, and working with youth and vulnerable groups. Volunteering under BFD would offer me the opportunity to support similar values in a new environment—be it in social care, education, integration of refugees, or environmental protection.

I am a hardworking, adaptable, and empathetic individual with a deep respect for cultural diversity and social responsibility. I am willing to dedicate myself fully to the program and learn from the German model of civic engagement. I am also open to placement in various areas, based on the needs of the host institution.
