I am excited to apply for the FSJ/BFD program in Germany, driven by my passion for community development and intercultural exchange. I have actively served as a youth leader in my local church and participated in government-led initiatives at the county and regional levels in Kenya. I have worked in diverse youth projects and peace organizations, contributing to community growth through youth empowerment, environmental action, and social justice campaigns. These experiences have enhanced my leadership, teamwork, and adaptability, enabling me to serve effectively in various community settings.
With an academic background in International Relations, I have developed a global perspective on issues such as human rights, peacebuilding, and environmental sustainability. I am confident in my ability to work in any community service environment and am eager to contribute meaningfully within a new cultural context. The FSJ/BFD program presents a valuable opportunity for me to engage in impactful service while expanding my intercultural understanding and continuing my journey toward becoming a well-rounded global citizen.
