Bewerbungstext:

As a child, the holidays were always the best part of the year because we got to visit our grandparents. They were full of love, energy, and kindness. Those memories are very dear to me. But when we lost my grandpa, my grandma was deeply affected. She was heartbroken and never fully recovered. I moved in with her as the youngest grandchild to help her with daily tasks like cooking, cleaning, going to the doctor, and taking care of her personal needs. Spending that time with her made me feel happy and fulfilled. It was then I realised how much I enjoy helping others, especially when they need love and support the most.
That experience opened my heart and my eyes. I began to see that many people—young and old—need care, not just in my family but all around. Later, while working as a nanny for a relative, I helped take care of four children, including the youngest, who had learning and hearing challenges. She needed special attention and only felt safe with people she trusted. Taking care of her taught me more about patience, understanding, and the importance of giving every child the care they deserve.
After finishing my degree, I gained some administrative experience, which helped me learn how to stay organised, work well with others, and use tools like Microsoft Word and Excel. I didn’t want to let go of my passion for caregiving, so I earned a certificate in caregiving and worked as a nursing assistant at Accentcare Home. I also did an internship at Lagoon Hospital. In both places, I focused on putting the patients first, following the rules, and treating everyone with respect and dignity.
I always try to do what’s right. For example, in one meeting, someone suggested we cut corners to save money, but I spoke up. I reminded the team that our job is to provide the best care and protect the trust our patients have in us. I believe care should never be compromised.
I also make sure to respect every patient’s privacy and choices. I always ask for their consent before doing anything, like helping them change or take medicine. If they say no, I respect that. I speak English well and always listen carefully when someone wants to talk, especially when they have concerns.
Recently, I completed trainings in CPD, CPR, Caregiving, and received a certificate from the American Caregiver Association. I understand how important it is to maintain good hygiene and to protect both children and vulnerable adults from harm.
I’m applying for this position because I truly love caregiving. Germany has a great reputation for being safe and welcoming, and I would be honoured to be part of a place that values good care. I hope to gain experience and grow in this field, with the goal of one day becoming a senior geriatric nurse or home manager.
Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the chance to work with your team and make a positive difference.

Warm regards,
Stephanie
