I am writing to express my strong interest in joining the Voluntary service program in the area of geriatric care. With over five years of processional experience in customer service, reception and administration, as well as Diploma in Tourism Management, I am eager to apply my interpersonal and organisational skills to support the well-being of older adults and people with disabilities.
My interest in this field is both professional and personal. I have completed an Online Certificate in Elderly Care and Caring for the disabilities from Alison and this certificate has provided me with essential knowledge on age-related health issues, daily living support and inclusive care practices. I am passionate about creating a supportive and respectful environment for vulnerable individuals ensuring their dignity, comfort and quality of life.
Through my previous roles, I have developed strong communication skills, cultural sensitivity and the ability to work in diverse team-qualities that I believe are crucial for volunteering in Germany's community care sectors. I am also eager to continue my German language skills (I have started my A1 class) to interact effectively with residents, colleagues and the wider community.
