I just graduated this July 2025 from college with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I have a 2.1 overall General Weighted Average and I have consistently been a group leader during my internships as a nursing student. In my 3rd year of nursing school we have a subject called Geriatric Nursing where I was assigned many patients to take care of who were elderly. From hospital setting to a home environment setting I was able to assist and improve the lives of my elderly patients. Through this I discovered my passion for caring for the elderly and the sick which made every day I was with them a fulfilling experience. I have gained over 2000 hours of hands on hospital experience of all ages from newborn to elderly. I have also volunteered in a Geriatric Facility for 3 months for elderly patients who were abandoned by their loved ones. This facility allowed me to care for the elderly and assist them with their Activities of Daily Living such as feeding, dressing, foot care, hair care, and spend time with them and hear their stories. Aside from this I was assigned to care for a family in a rural community and they had an elderly couple which I assisted as well. I also have a Basic Life Support certificate and identification card from the Department of Health where I am trained for CPR in adults and pediatric clients.
