NURSE ASSISTANT
1. Patient Care
• Assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting
• Helping patients with mobility, including walking, transferring to beds, or using wheelchairs
• Supporting patients during rehabilitation exercises or therapy sessions
• Ensuring patients are comfortable and well-positioned in bed or chairs
2. Vital Signs and Health Monitoring
• Measuring and recording temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
• Observing patients for changes in condition, pain, or behavior
• Reporting any abnormal signs or concerns to nurses or supervisors
3. Hygiene and Infection Control
• Maintaining personal hygiene for patients
• Cleaning and sanitizing patient areas and equipment
• Following infection prevention protocols, including proper handwashing and use of PPE
• Ensuring safe disposal of medical waste
4. Assisting Medical Procedures
• Preparing patients for medical examinations and treatments
• Assisting nurses during wound care, dressing changes, or specimen collection
• Helping with medication administration under supervision
6. Communication and Emotional Support
• Explaining procedures and instructions clearly to patients
• Providing emotional support and reassurance to patients and families
• Encouraging patients to participate in daily activities or therapy
I want to learn and grow by doing in school getting hands-on experience in clinics and helping out with community health projects. I am good at talking to people working with others and being kind to patients. I want to understand the problems in health teach people about health and make healthcare better especially for people who do not have a lot of resources. I care about community health initiatives. I want to be part of making a difference in healthcare delivery particularly for people who are not getting the help they need. Community health is very important, to me. I want to contribute to it in a positive way.
