Professional experience in nursing or geriatric care:
For the past 10 years, I have worked professionally as a mobile phone repair technician. This job taught me patience, precision, and problem-solving under pressure. I am used to working with people who are stressed or worried, which has strengthened my empathy and communication skills.
However, my skills go far beyond technology. I also have practical medical knowledge and experience, including:
· Taking and monitoring blood pressure,
· Administering injections,
· Inserting IVs (intravenous drips), and
· Performing first aid (emergency care).
I fully understand that as a BFD volunteer, I will work under the supervision of trained nurses and will not perform these tasks independently. However, my medical background means that I am not afraid of clinical environments, I stay calm in emergencies, and I can quickly adapt to the daily routine of a care facility. I can be a reliable and active support to your nursing team.
My motivation for applying is to combine my technical skills with my passion for helping people. Additionally, because of my repair background, I can also assist elderly residents with their smartphones, tablets, or emergency call devices – something that is becoming more and more important in modern care.
I currently hold a German language certificate at level A2, but I am actively learning every day to reach B1/B2 as soon as possible. I communicate confidently in English.
I would be truly grateful for the opportunity to serve your team and gain valuable experience in Germany.
Sincerely,
