As a microbiologist, I have gained valuable experience supporting healthcare services through laboratory testing and infection prevention practices that are particularly important in geriatric care. My responsibilities included processing and analyzing clinical specimens, identifying microorganisms, maintaining strict laboratory quality standards, and following biosafety protocols. I understand the increased vulnerability of older adults to infectious diseases and the importance of timely, accurate laboratory results in guiding appropriate treatment.
