I am an 19 year old student currently on my Senior Six vacation. At the moment, I am pursuing a short course in Healthcare at Bristol College of Management and Health Sciences in Healthcare Services. My passion for volunteering began from a personal experience. In 2014, my grandfather became seriously ill and lost the ability to move independently. During the two years that followed before he passed away in 2016, I witnessed the daily challenges and hardships faced by people living with disabilities and limited mobility. Seeing his struggles and the support he needed had a profound impact on me and inspired me to help people in need whenever i could. This experience motivated me to become more involved in community service. While in secondary school, I joined the Red Cross team, where I participated in activities aimed at supporting vulnerable people and promoting health and humanitarian values. Through these experiences, I developed compassion, teamwork, responsibility, and a strong desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
I am writing to apply for a volunteering program in Germany because I want to broaden my experience, learn from people of different cultures, and contribute my time and skills to meaningful community projects. I believe this opportunity will help me grow both personally and professionally while allowing me to serve others with dedication, empathy and respect.
