When I first started working as a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist for an International NGO, Food for the Hungry in Kenya, I didn't just see it as a job in development; I saw it as a four-year crash course in IT infrastructure. I realized that the effectiveness of our humanitarian projects depended entirely on our ability to collect, manage, and interpret data efficiently. It is this realization that has led me to pursue a formal Ausbildung as an IT Specialist.

My professional background is uniquely suited for the demands of this role. Over the past four years, I managed complex databases, utilized Power BI for real-time reporting, and developed digital dashboards to track progress across multiple regions. I learned the hard way that a slow database query or a poorly structured SQL script doesn’t just cost time—it can delay aid delivery.
