Application for the Position of Volunteer Geriatric Care Assistant

I am writing to express my interest in the Volunteer Geriatric Care Assistant position. Caring for older adults is something I find both meaningful and rewarding, and I would be honoured to contribute my time and skills to support your team.

I hold a Certificate in Health Care Assistance and completed practical training in geriatric care, where I gained hands-on experience assisting older adults with personal care, mobility, feeding, and providing companionship. This experience taught me the importance of treating every individual with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect.

Alongside my healthcare training, I have more than 15 years of experience in administration and executive support. These roles have strengthened my communication, teamwork, and organizational skills, while teaching me to remain calm, dependable, and professional in demanding situations.

I am eager to expand my practical experience in elderly care while making a positive difference in the lives of older people. I believe that every elderly person deserves kindness, respect, and quality care, and I am committed to providing compassionate support that promotes their comfort, independence, and well-being.

I would welcome the opportunity to volunteer with your organization and contribute to the excellent care you provide. Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how I can contribute to your team.

Yours faithfully,

Melvis Mulenga
