Application text:

I am interested in doing a voluntary service in nursing and elderly care because I would like to use my time and experience to help other people, while also learning something completely new.

I have worked for many years in education, ICT, student accommodation, security, administration, customer service, and team management. These experiences have taught me to be patient, responsible, respectful, and able to work with different kinds of people. Working with students and being responsible for their accommodation and safety also helped me understand the importance of listening to people and treating them with care and respect.

I do not have professional experience as a nurse or geriatric care worker, but I am willing to learn. I understand that caring for elderly people requires patience, kindness, responsibility, and respect. I am ready to start from the basics and learn from experienced staff.

At the moment, I do not speak German. However, I am serious about learning the language and improving my communication skills. I am willing to attend German language courses and make the effort needed to communicate properly with the people I will be working with.

I would be grateful for the opportunity to take part in the BFD, contribute to the care and well-being of elderly people, and gain practical experience in a new field. I am hardworking, adaptable, respectful, and willing to learn.
