I have experience in geriatric nursing, where I have had the opportunity to care for older adults with different health conditions and care needs. Through this experience, I have developed skills in providing compassionate, respectful, and patient while promoting the dignity, comfort, safety, and independence of elderly patients.
My experience includes assisting older adults with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, and mobility. I understand the importance of monitoring patients' health conditions, observing changes in their physical and mental well being, administering prescribed medications according to professional guidelines, and reporting any concerns to the healthcare professionals.
Working with older adults has strengthened my patience, empathy, communication, and observation skills. I have learned the importance of treating every elderly person with respect, maintaining confidentiality, listening to their concerns, and providing emotional support.
