Application for nursing and geriatric care in Germany

Hello,

My name is Fatima Zahra, I am 20 years old from Marrakech.

I have never worked in a hospital, but I know what care means, because I lived it at home.

In my family, I take care of my grandmother. She has problems with walking and she needs help every day. I help her to get up, to wash, to eat, and I stay with her, we drink tea together and I listen to her stories. For me, it is not a job, it is love.

That is why I want to do voluntary service in elderly care in Germany. I want to learn how to do this work in a professional way, and I want to give old people the same feeling: that they are not alone.

I am a calm person. I can listen, I can wait, I am not afraid of hard work. I am learning German now because I really want to speak with the people I will care for, not just help them with my hands.
